OMG! Thank you so much for your review! You have been so lucky to see him! I live in Italy so I won't be able to see him live :( The fact is that after you've heard Adam singing, you won't be able to apreciate anyone else. His voice is so beautiful and he can reach impossible notes! He sure is "A Glittery Alien from Planet Fierce"
ReplyDeleteWhat a great recap! I love it! You put it so well and really made it sound like you saw an amazing show! I'm terrible at reviews and recaps and such...I'll do an interview easy peasy because I can just say "and then he said..." but this was great! I love your pics! (YOU look great!). You are one of my favourite people I've met on the internet and it is so great to see you and your son and it is even better to hear about what a great experience it was! I wish I could've gone w/ you just because seeing it w/ you would've been so amazing! Have fun in Erie! You're beautiful! <333
ReplyDeleteFantastic job! I saw him at Nokia on the 23rd and felt the same way. So lucky that you got to meet him, and your sons are both awesome (I looove Brad's remixes)! It's awesome that you were able to keep your review so concise; mine was way too long and rambly.
ReplyDeleteAgain, congratulations. The Glam Nation tour is spectacular.
Imyourmom - Awesome pics:) Great that you've had such an amazing time. Also, you can tell Rob that I want that t-shirt as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pic girl. And as Brad said last night - you do look great :-)
ReplyDeleteWith regards to the "normal guy" stuff. For some reason, people have the mistaken idea that he is somehow scary, or weird, or something. I had a conversation with a Denver DJ after his interview with Adam, and his words were: "It was so much fun - I am a huge fan now" I asked him why he expected anything different, and he said "I thought I might get Glambert, but I got Adam". I am not sure what he meant by getting Glambert, but I think he thought Adam would be unapproachable and different from everyone. Instead he got our warm, friendly, funny, and light-radiating, yet fierce man, that we know and love so well.
Congrats on your visit - I am so happy for you, and glad you got such a great show!!
I was there too (with my sister)! Love your recap & I'm going to be at the Erie show too, with my mom. The Erie one is closer to me then this one was which is great- though all the driving, waiting. etc is soooo worth it to see Adam live!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you and your son got to meet Adam, and that you got to hear Adam praise Brad's amazing work!! Love the "nice and normal" comment, too. I guess I need to be reminded of that again and again, since Adam is so otherwordly in his talent- brings him back down to earth (where we need him, LOL!)
ReplyDeleteAnd ITA about the magic in his voice. I feel like it resonates with me on a molecular level- like, it makes my electrons dance!
Too bad about WLL, but hopefully he'll give it to you (heh) in Erie :)
Wonderful report. Meeting Adam is joy enough. But having him gush (justifiably) over your son's work! Some night! Plus having audience sing along (as well they should) to Brad's grand remix. Thrilled for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along. And setting the record straight about Cleveland's enthusiasm. The audience certainly seemed enraptured from the wild screaming on the vids and streams.
Cleveland's seen every artist in history, not to mention the history of artists they can see everyday. Tweets from attendees all mentioned how people next to them were casual fans. For Adam to get non-stop standing O's, yelling, cheering, and screaming from them is testimony indeed.
GREAT SHOW! How did you get the meet and greet photo? I am trying to get mine too! LOL... Great site!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! Thanks so much for CAVING to the pressure to post your pic with AFL online!!! Now we just need to to get Adam out west to show us poor, deprived westerners some Glam Nation love! Cannot wait to get our epic Glamazing Race Summer of AFL Love road trip started so we can bask in the sun, like you did. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteSend me an email anon - I'll give you the link to the M&G photos. melang924 at yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI know you were looking forward to this concert and I'm glad it turned out so perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the well-written recap.
PastaBaby
Imyourmom, you must have been bursting with pride for Rob. you are absolutely spot on with your comments about Adam's gifts, as well as his incredibly warm personality. He is definitely a very special person, and to see GMN once is really not enough! thanks for recap.xxx Loveshasasad
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great recap, esp "cue mom tears"...awww! Has Brad seen Adam's GNT yet, or any of his live performances? His remixes are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteKit
Hi Kit - Brad saw Adam in NYC at the Nokia. He was also with me for the VH1 taping (that's how I got "lucky" being part of that audience).
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your experience with us. Shocker didn't know you were Brad's mom! he is truly awesome..but then u already know that ...and talented too...your warmth and caring nature does come through in your piece... i enjoyed reading it
