'Lambert Mania' Hits Fantasy Springs Casino

INDIO - Hundreds of fans lined up outside Fantasy Springs Casino on Friday wanting to get their hands on tickets to see "American Idol" castaway Adam Lambert.

At noon, casino officials told News Channel three that nearly one-third of the seats were sold as phone started ringing last night. One call came from Taiwan.

People started lining up as early as 6am to get tickets, this morning. One woman drove from Orange County, another from San Diego.

It's also a trending topic on social media sites like Twitter, where avid fans are quick to point out today is also Adam Lambert's birthday.

Fantasy Springs management says no artist has received so much attention in such a short amount of time before at their concert venue.

We find unity in our incredible diversity, drawing on the promise enshrined in our Constitution: the notion that we're all created equal, that no matter who you are or what you look like, if you abide by the law you should be protected by it, if you adhere to our common values you should be treated no different than anyone else.

We must continually renew this promise. My administration has a civil rights division that is once again prosecuting civil rights violations and employment discrimination. We finally strengthened our laws to protect against crimes driven by hate. This year, I will work with Congress and our military to finally repeal the law that denies gay Americans the right to serve the country they love because of who they are. It's the right thing to do.

While I loved Christian Siriano’s latest Payless collection, the reviews online have been mixed.  A major criticism from the likes of Refinery29 and Fashionista? They’re McQueen knock-offs.  Perhaps it’s the law student in me, but I take such accusations seriously and am quite perturbed when they’re made without merit.
Alexander McQueen’s alien/hoof/claw shoes hit the runway on October 6, 2009 - Siriano’s claw shoes debuted on September 12. Hmm, quite a feat to knock-off shoes weeks before they hit the runway!
